❤️🤍💙 We were absolutely thrilled with the turnout for our Grandparents Day Lunch, welcoming so many special guests to Northwest! Our campus was filled with smiles, hugs, laughter, and lots of Northwest pride as our scholars shared a special part of their school day with the grandparents and loved ones who mean so much to them.

💗 Pink Out T-Shirt Orders — Deadline Monday!

Monday is the LAST DAY to order a Pink Out T-shirt! Shirts are $15, and this district fundraiser provides monetary support to students and staff members across our district who are battling cancer.

We are proud to unite with schools across our district in supporting such a meaningful cause. Pink Out shirts will be worn on October 9 for the designated Pink Out game! 💗

📚✨ Literacy Day — Dolly Style! — Friday

On Friday, Northwest is celebrating literacy with a little Dolly flair! Dolly Parton's passion for literacy was inspired in part by watching her own father struggle with illiteracy, and she has gone on to make an incredible impact on children's literacy.

We'll celebrate the joy of reading with special literacy activities and lots of fun. Principal McKinnerney Burks will be reading to classes all day long in the library! We can't wait to see our scholars celebrate reading Dolly style! 📚🌟

🌟 Thank You for Supporting Big Kahuna!

A BIG Northwest thank-you to everyone participating in our Big Kahuna Fundraiser!

This is our largest campus fundraiser of the year and is separate from PTO fundraisers. Funds raised through Big Kahuna support all things student-related, helping us provide additional opportunities, experiences, celebrations, and rewards for our Northwest scholars throughout the year.

Every order and every bit of support helps us do more for our students. Thank you for investing in our kids and helping Northwest shine! ⭐

The PARTY BUS will be on Sept. 24th and Big Kahuna Pick Up will be on Sept. 29th.

If you need to change your child's afternoon dismissal arrangements, please call the office.

Teachers will NOT see your ParentSquare message or email. You MUST call the office to make any changes. 

Also, please communicate any changes no later than 2:45 PM.

The weekly menu is posted above, but you can also access it in the NutriSlice app linked below! The School Cafe portal lets you add money to your child's account so they can purchase "extras" from the lunch line, if desired!

Every minute of learning matters at Northwest! Arriving on time helps our young scholars start their day feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn. Even a few minutes missed each morning can add up to valuable instructional time lost.

We need your help in making on-time arrival the standard! Please make every effort to have your child at school and ready to learn each day.

We are closely monitoring tardies as we work together to build strong habits of Dependability, Dedication, and Discipline in our students. Being on time is one small habit that can make a BIG difference in student success!
